"First time on OBX. Not first time booking through VRBO or a vacation rental site. That being said, this place met and exceeded all our needs. Check in-easier than most hotels. Not a duplex/triplex which actually was a want for us, so nice not having others on the same property. Pictures do not do justice for this place. Cleanliness was as expected, spotless. Amenities-a bathroom for every room?! Say less. And half bath up top was great. Even though we stayed in the off season (partially on purpose) The beach access was perfect. If you want a place in OBX, just you and the fam or friends, set up like a vacation home, great communication from owner, there is no looking further."

"To get a few negatives out of the way first: This property has a LOT of stairs, please do not book if you have folks with limited mobility. This is not a "walk right over to the beach" property, just fyi. We are very irritated with the current trend of a 5pm check-in at so many places (I travel a lot and 3pm used to be the standard)...this cuts so much into our first day and left a bad taste--it is a very petty and stingy thing to not allow access until 5pm imo. Positives (far outweigh): This house was absolutely gorgeous! We loved so many things about it; we were here for a family Thanksgiving. There is ample parking and the house was easy to find. We loved having ample bedrooms with *real* beds for all the adults. Teens got the bunkbed room. The multi-level floor plan was great for being able to get away for solo time or hanging with a few folks. The basement has a pool table that we enjoyed. The hot tub was functional and clean, so we loved sitting out there in the cold night, watching shooting stars. The kitchen and dining room were blissfully LARGE which was great for our big family gathering. I also loved that the kitchen was stocked with a huge amount of quality plates, glasses, cups, and silverware (too many hosts stock with cheap stuff!). The house is just gorgeous and tastefully decorated. Many balconies and great views! The management company was very responsive to questions. I would definitely book this house again."

"The house was perfect and lovely!! The first floor is perfect for kids, and the home is beautifully decorated. We really appreciated the coffee set up, and all of the extras that we did not have to run out for like garbage bags, paper towels and yes someone forgot their tooth brush so it was so incredibly thoughtful that all of these things were provided. "

"The home was just what we were looking for on our family vacation and we had a great time! The only three minor issues was the outside staircase lighting, as it was not working and it was very hard to see which could’ve been a trip/fall hazard, the tv screen in the king bedroom was broken, and it was hard to find the home at night (it would be nice to have a sign on the road with an arrow and the house number on it). When I contacted Vacasa, the team submitted a ticket and said it would get taken care of. It was very easy & effortless to communicate with them. Other than that we loved staying at ‘Game on’! It was a short walk to the beach, the pool & hot tub were great, there were tons of fun family games, more than enough space, we found lots of seashells, and we were excited that each room had its own bathroom as the listing made it seem like 2 of the bedrooms had to share one; so we were pleasantly surprised! I would definitely recommend this place, it was just what we needed for our 5 day family vacation. "

"Overall our vacation was a 5, but this house is more like a 3. The property has great potential, but has not been maintained. The pool was fantastic, but was surrounded by weeds and included a pile of broken and rusted pool toys. The pool loungers(3) were all broken and unusable. It was nice to have direct access to the beach, a short walk over the dunes for a day in the sand. However, the fence door was not secure and with a dog and small child, this was a concern. The host was informed and was responsive, but the issue was not resolved. The house itself worked out great for our group with plenty of room to spread out inside and out. It could have been cleaner(walls and floors) and just needed more attention to details like clogged bathtubs and broken blinds. With a little effort, this property could easily be a 5. "
