"Hotel is newly renovated. Beautiful nautical style rooms. Great pool outback with intercoastal view. Pool is heated. They are renovating a restaurant on property. But have a great seaside bar with food, which was fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel. Can do taco Tuesday. $10 for two tacos and $10 house margaritas. Also have the Water Taxi that stops there if you want to catch a ride on that."

"We love those 1950s style hotels. Small, affordable, and tons of character. Location of Palms is perfect. We’ve stayed in Delray, Deerfield, and Boca. Compared to these places, Pompano seems to be undergoing some gentrification. Entire blocks are being torn down and high rise developments are going in. "A very sketchy area. We couldn’t even go in to check into the hotel. We had to do it from a window. It was late at night and the hotel receptionist wouldn’t let us in. It’s probably one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed in. Tv remote didn’t work. Very noisy. And overall super sketchy. I slept with my pepper spray under my pillow. No. I’m not joking. I do not recommend. "

"The place is very nice! The grounds are beautiful, the cottage I stayed in (queen studio) was clean, well maintained and had a lot of homey touches. Elaine is an amazing hostess! She is very helpful, friendly and creative. Each cottage has its own parking space. The beach is a two block walk and Elaine provides supplies to spend a day at the beach. I wish I had been there for a vacation so I could have taken advantage of all that was offered. There is construction going on as the area is growing...
