"These pictures really do showcase this property. It’s a beautiful home. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable. You’ll have amazing sunset views and monkeys will be swinging in the trees around you. Our family of 7 stayed here for 6 days. The pool is a great size and we enjoyed dinner on the grill in the outdoor kitchen. The driveway is steep to get up but totally doable. We had a wonderful experience and we’ll be back. We highly recommend this property."

"The house is as described. Very nice location. Ideal for 3 couples as two of the bedrooms are only accessible by a ladder inside of the house. However, one room can be accessed by a staircase outside. Not alot to do that's close by so expect to drive a bit. Very quiet and relaxing. "

"A Spanish villa nestled 30 min north of Nosara in a gated community ideal for a quiet or peaceful retreat away from the tourists of Nosara especially during high season. Car highly recommended to else a local driver may be referred but cash only and for a hefty price. Views are amazing around here and 10-30 minutes away from a super market or civilization. Will definitely stay again."

He was an absolute joy helping us get familiar with the home, providing local dining and activity recommendations, and remaining responsive throughout our ten day stay. "What a wonderful hotel! I can’t imagine a better place for our family to spend a week. We loved the views from the restaurants and pools, and especially from our room (gorgeous vistas over the jungle and monkeys swinging in a tree just off our balcony.) Our room was beautiful and so comfortable and well appointed. Staff is amazing. We enjoyed the beach below the hotel, the jungle walk, the yoga studio and the bird walk. We also drove to area beaches and restaurants- but were always happy to return to our oasis on the hilltop! I would return in a heartbeat. "

"This resort was beautiful. A good bit off the beaten path but what a jewel when you get there! The rooms were quite spacious and lovely. There was a welcome gift when we arrived of fresh fruits. No matter where you are on the property, you can hear the waves crashing and it is glorious! The resort felt very exclusive and was populated but not crowded at all. Each time I went to the pool or any of the many options for laying out I felt like I had my preference. They had so many options of shaded or sunny spots to relax and enjoy the tropical surroundings. There were several iguanas on the property that loved sunning themselves by the pools as well. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning that was included in our stay but our favorite was lunch. The guacamole was fabulous and paired with the chicken quesadillas it was perfect! This resort was excellent for relaxing. We also took advantage of the spa. The couple's massage with the sound of the ocean was fantastic! Easily one of our favorites of all time and we love a good spa day!! As I stated in the beginning, Azul hotel and retreat is off the beaten path and you will need to rent a car. I'd suggest flying into Liberia Airport but it will still be a long drive to ANY of the resorts, but a lot longer if you fly into San Juan like we did. I loved the Azul Hotel and Retreat and I'm very glad we found such a great place to stay with wonderful employees that took great care of us!"
