"Words will not convey the breathtaking beauty you see entering this home. I actually cried when I walked through the house to the outside view. It is magical and breathtaking. We were greeted by two of the loveliest people who showed us the ins and outs of the home and were available to answer all our questions.This was our first time to Costa Rica and we learned alot. 1. Get local money - it's just easier. Unsure of what to do, we got less than we should have. 2. You get acclimated to the heat very quickly. The house opens all the way up and the breeze, fans and pool kept us cool during the day. We turned the AC on in our room about 15 minutes before bed and again when waking and slept perfectly.3. We experienced a few critters we saved from the house. Nothing we couldn't handle and having done our research, were expecting.4. Hit the local markets/grocery stores for snacks. There are restaurants, but for us, it was nice to be able to just stay home and enjoy the quiet.5. We drank tap water the entire time and were just fine, it's actually better than the water in Texas.6. Read the welcome book, there's some tips in there that are helpful.7. Get a 4x4 large SUV - we had a smallish one and managed just fine, but I think a larger one would have been less bumpy.8. Tipping is not required, but is appreciated.We've only been gone a few days and already miss it - we will 1000% go back."

"Casa Maya has exceeded our expectations many times over. Not only is everything new, as the house has just been completed - this dream villa is in a great location. In addition to incredible animal life, a completely private atmosphere awaits you here. The fantastic view of the ocean and jungle is unique and the sunsets are one of a kind. Our 3 most favorite beaches are only 15 minutes away. There were only two of us in this great villa and we really enjoyed it - the villa is huge and has 7 bedrooms. It is on three levels and with 2 huge pools. In the evenings we took a soak in the hot tub jacuzzi! On the second level there is a big terrace with BBQ grill and large bar. The manager even got us a private chef.! The Villa is beautifully decorated and the whole house is equipped with central A/C, stable Wi-Fi and a generator. We had our breakfast on the terrace in the company of howler monkeys and birds in the trees above!! This villa was better equipped than our house at home. We did so much in 1 week here: saw turtles hatch, went on a boat tour, snorkeled and did a quad tour to the waterfall. All of this was organized for us by the rental manager of the house, who was helpful and super organized. He made our stay unforgettable in the sense of the word. We highly recommend this villa and had a dream vacation as a couple- we definitely going to come back and plan a family gathering here. This was truly one of the best places we ever stayed booking trough VRBO. "

"Fantastic house with amazing vista over the jungle to the ocean. The sound of crashing waves can be heard at night, Howler monkeys at dawn and impressive birds circling during the day. The house is very well presented, great air conditioning, and a pool you want to stay in all day long. Kitchen is very well equipped and everything works. As good as your own home..if not better"
