"The room was larger than I thought and very clean. The ensuite was very good with excellent water pressure in the shower. The staff were very helpful and although the tills were closed in the bar they still served us night caps. I gave a 4 star for comfort because their pillows were so high they unbearably uncomfortable, but the problem was very quickly rectified. The breakfast was exceptionally good and very generous. Wed definitely stay there again."

"I requested for a higher floor room which is quiet and they gave me just that! They had lots of options on the food menu and they left some tasty chocolate cookies on the desk. "The room was beautifully appointed. Last stayed here 5 years ago - what a transformation! Lovely linen and huge towels. Coffee machine, air con and good toiletries. Fresh milk - lovely touch. Dinner menu was typical pub grub. Fish and chips a bit too oily for me. Breakfast was excellent- good choice and plenty (we were too full up from dinner to take advantage!) super friendly staff. "
