Loved the hotel for our recent stay. Breakfast was good and staff was attentive. Rooms were ok but we were in L floor which is not the best floor. It is best to the train station and shopping area.

Overall good stay and staff was very good. Parking is an issue #1. Had to park like 5 mins walk away. Area is bit dodgy at night time but that is expected as being city center.

There is no car park at this hotel and the area is not somewhere you want to be walking about at night. I booked last minute on the way back from the airport. I thought a Holiday Inn would be fine. It is not a great idea for women to have to find on-street parking or parking at a supermarket and then walk to the hotel with luggage and children. The hotel was fine and the staff were all lovely and really helpful. They did assist with parking and ensured we were looked after, I called reception from outside as had no idea what to do as there was nowhere to park. I asked if they could change the booking to a sister hotel nearby, they could not but did look after us and locate parking for us. The room and bedding were clean, fluffy towels, quiet. Expedia should put a disclaimer at the top of the listings if there is no parking. I never even thought to check. This is not a bad review, it is just a head’s up for anyone who needs car-parking on site.

Great hotel great location for shops eateries and transport esp into london. Breakfast an excelkent start to the day. Staff friendly and helpful. Not my first visit wont be my last. Blue badge oarking on site free....other parking over the road in supermarket.

On two occasions we couldnt sleep due to noise.The first night people above us were making too much noise then the next night there was a group in the bar area singing and being too loud. As we were on the ground floor we couldnt go to reception to report this as we felt intimidated by the group. We felt that the reception staff should have spoke to them.
