Rainbow Falls can only be seen by hiking the 2 additional miles from Devils Postpile (0.4 mi) from the trailhead. The only way to reach the trailhead is by taking a shuttle inside Devils Postpile National Monument in Mammoth, California. The hike is easy but fairly open so it can get pretty hot in the summer, but the view of Rainbow Falls is absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend making the trip if you’re in Mammoth. "This is my second time staying at this property, check in is always easy, staff are nice and friendly. Location is accessible to many stores and restaurants, can walk or drive if you’re being lazy. Plenty of space for parking. Room is cozy, spacious and clean, ac is cold and quiet, and bathroom is newly renovated now from what I remembered when I stayed last yr with my family. Good breakfast selection, of course Im always after the waffle and coffee. Thanks for a comfortable stay!"
