"This resort was beautiful, we were skeptical when we read other reviews but we were very happy with everything, the staff was awesome and very willing to help in every way they could. The Grand room we had was very clean and had a very nice view of the courtyard. Yes this resort is kid friendly however this did not affect how our trip went at all. The food was quite good despite the reviews being not great. We very much enjoyed the Las Palomas and Amalfi specialty restaurants for dinner. The Casa Bella buffet had a very good assortment for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well. If we were craving a snack on the beach, La Bamba was the place to go, great Hamburgers and hot dogs with great side choices. The only thing foodwise that did not live up to our expectations was the Piazzetta dei Forni restaurant. The crust tasted cheaper and they put cut up hotdogs on some of them. Just for people looking at all of the different restaurants, if you book the all inclusive package, you do not have access to Mai Tai and Capriccio as they are for owners/VIP members. Everywhere else is free to eat at. Note to book at one of the specialty restaurants you need to wake up early and book them. All of the bars and swim up bars were amazing and had a different drinks of the day every day. The bartenders were very friendly and willing to make anything requested. Our trip was great and we have next to no complaints about Marival Emotions, would recommend to anybody with or without kids. "

"The food and service at this resort are absolutely amazing. We didn’t eat a single thing we didn’t like. I read reviews about the beach being a long walk away and was concerned about that but it’s not a long walk at all. If you can’t make the short walk they do have a shuttle but I found it to be a very pretty pleasant 3 minute walk. Highly recommend this resort. The large spacious rooms are incredible as well. "

"The resort is a bit dated but makes up for it by its amazing staff who provide excellent service in every area of the resort. The crew at the front are ready to welcome you and if you need a taxi they are on it so fast its great! The housekeeping staff are meticulous and keep every area, especially the rooms, so clean. The staff at the restaurants are fantastic and the chefs are outstanding. We did 2 nights at Cucina, Panema and Zen; Cucina and Panema were just amazing each time. We had issues at Zen 1/2 nights but would suggest going for the first seating as it seemed with the later seating the service and food suffered a bit due to business. We only had one night at Frida but only because we had to choose haha; it was still so good and highly recommend the guac ! Out of 8 days we only had one bad meal! Dont miss the poolside burgers, as we did for most of the week only to discover how bomb they were on the last day lol!! The pool servers were amazing and so friendly, ensuring you are always well hydrated. We just loved our usual server he was amazing!! The only thing I would say is the pool is heated which is really great, especially for littles, but it was a little too hot. It would be nice to turn down the temperature just a tad or have one pool thats cooler. My last all-inclusive was a Royalton in DR and it was a lot more expensive and absolutely terrible so thank you Hard Rock Vallarta for showing what an awesome all inclusive trip really is!!
