Honestly unless you want to drink all day and you aren’t very choosy about the food, you’re probably better to stay at a hotel near the city and eat at different restaurants. The food here a few years ago was good but the quality has declined. The hotel staff are friendly.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful family vacation at Hotel Riu Vallarta! The resort was beautiful, the food was great, and we really enjoyed the pools and beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and overall, we had an amazing experience. One recommendation for improvement would be to have more servers available around the pools and beach areas, as there were not enough staff to assist guests. I would also suggest adding more lifeguards around the swimming pools, especially for families with children. Overall, a great resort with excellent hospitality. We truly enjoyed our vacation and would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Looking forward to visiting again!

The staff were all very lovely and helpful! Really enjoyed the variety of food options. The hotel grounds where beautiful and well kept. There’s a variety of pools to swim in to avoid over crowding, and easy access to the beach. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend to others.

We stayed at RIU Vallarta with a pretty big group and overall, we had a great time! The resort itself is beautiful, the pools were fun, the beach was right there, and there was always something going on. The staff were friendly and worked really hard, and with a group our size, we were still able to enjoy meals and hang out together without too much trouble. I would recommend RIU Vallarta if you're looking for a lively, fun all-inclusive and aren't expecting a super high-end luxury resort.
