I didn't like the fact we didn't have a bathroom inside the room. We had to go outside the room. The tv was so little it look like a iPad on the wall. Some of the channels don't work. They provide with two towels but no wash cloth. It is extremely hot in the room. The staff is nice there clean. U need a code to get in the bathroom. Overall I will not be going back to this hotel

**Not As Advertised**
The location was fine and a short walk from the G train, however it stops there. The room was NOTHING like the pictures online and when we arrived, it was easily 90 degrees. A “repair” guy came and said “you were complaining about the heat?” and tried turning down the radiator. We still had to have the window wide open in December to keep it tolerable. There are barely any bathrooms and they are communal (and dirty). Had to pay a $15 membership fee too. Just not good, do not recommend. Not as advertised

The place is not a hotel. It is a shelter. Trash the bathroom. I had never seen such a horrible place. Men entering the ladies room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Green Point YMCA! Honestly, we had read some not-so-positive reviews in advance and were a little bit nervous how it would turn out, but we were really pleased with everything: The staff was friendly, the bathrooms simple, but absolutely sufficient for our needs, fairly clean and sanitary, the facilities in general great (jaccuzzi, hairdryer, safes for our laptops), and we really appreciated the breakfast at the nearby diner!

The installations are kind of old, but nice. Taking in count that is one of the cheapest options at NY, it’s quite comfortable. The metro is really close, on block away, and are plenty of supers and eating places around. I only wish they had a kitchen for the hosts.

The room was so small i could barley turn around. The bathroom was a common shared area. The heat was on too high i could barely breathe even with opening the window. There is no elevator so I had to walk to the 3rd floor with my bags. It was overall a horrible experience and not worth the money I paid. I would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone

Great location and facility for the price! Right next to a subway with easy route in to Manhattan! Lovely area with lots of cafes, bars and shops! This hostel is great for visiting New York on a budget.
