"Due to severe weather almost everything in Edinburgh was closed for the day and I had to spend the whole day and an extra night in the hotel. Even though there were very few staff due to the storm those who in made sure we had food and went out of their way to be accomodating and make residents feel secure."

"The hotel was supposed to be in a central location but it was 12 minutes walk to the shops and then a further 12 minutes walk to the bars, so it was too much effort to go out for a beer and something to eat on Saturday night. In cold weather conditions, you really needed to take a taxi everywhere. It was deadly quiet too with no atmosphere. In fact, it was more akin to a gentleman's club, rather than a hotel. Room was very clean, had a great view of Calton Hill, wish it was warmer to sit out in the garden (not so much in January) but overall very pleased with hotel.
