"Great location just 5 minute walk from station. Lovely breakfast. On checkout found out we were upgraded but not told this on arrival. Nice duplex style room with great facilities. Bedroom a little small and nowhere to hang coats or shelves to put things on. Over all good stay and would recommend. "

Room was very clean, had a great view of Calton Hill, wish it was warmer to sit out in the garden (not so much in January) but overall very pleased with hotel. "The hotel was supposed to be in a central location but it was 12 minutes walk to the shops and then a further 12 minutes walk to the bars, so it was too much effort to go out for a beer and something to eat on Saturday night. In cold weather conditions, you really needed to take a taxi everywhere. It was deadly quiet too with no atmosphere. In fact, it was more akin to a gentleman's club, rather than a hotel. "The apartment is situated just outside the city centre down a charming back lane. It was clean, spacious and we were greeted by fresh flowers, coffee and short bread biscuits. We received several informative emails from the staff at Greatbase Apartments that helped make the whole check in and check out process seamless. Great apartment, would recommend. "
