"We stayed in a 4 dorm, 2 adults and 2 kids, for 4 nights. The hostel was great for us in terms of location, cost, and room space. They serve some amazing lunch and dinner options there too! The hostel was one of the quietest I've ever stayed in and the facilities were all fairly clean and well equipped. "

"Our family (2 adults, 8yr old son) stayed in a private 2 double bed room for 6 nights in March 2025. We were extremely happy with our experience. The room was very spacious and the bathroom/shower rooms were wonderful. I would definitely consider staying here again and recommend it to small families. There is a shared lounge and kitchen which we utilized to cook additional veggies as we found it lacking when eating out. There are two induction ranges and pots of water come to boil very quickly....

"We really enjoyed our stay here. We were 5 adults and 1 child. The hotel is newer, very clean, and the staff was great. Check in and check out we’re very quick and easy. Have the laundry and detergent readily available was very convenient and helpful. The hotel is by a 711, 2-3 minute walk to the blue line which is one stop to Gion. "I booked the large concept room for my family of 4 and we were very impressed at how large the apartment was! We had lots of room that fit the 4 of us comfortably. The bath and shower were spacious. The dining counter was nice and big. There is a microwave, fridge and countertop stove. This is an apartment hotel building so no front desk. Check in and check out via tablet was easy. "We had a great stay at Nohga hotel! The hotel is conveniently located about an 8 minute walk from the train station, and walking distance from Kiyomizu temple and the famous Sanenzaka and Ninenzaka streets. The hotel has a modern organic style, cute lobby with bakery that was always bustling, and a great rooftop bar with great cocktails and views. Every staff member was extremely polite and friendly, and the service was top notch. Our room was on the smaller side but was thoughtfully laid out and had everything we needed and was very clean, and it was enough space to open our luggage which is more than many Japanese hotels. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great place to stay in Kyoto!!"

Loved it!

"When arriving, not only was the lobby beautiful with a view - but the staff was very friendly and even upgraded us to a bigger room without asking! The room itself was VERY spacious, clean, the bathroom and shower area was so nice - they had everything you could possibly need (ie toothbrush/toothpaste, brush, facial products, shower products, hair dryer, etc). I’ve found beds in Japan are never comfy but these were actually better than other hotels. The room view was so pretty. I have nothing bad to say, I will absolutely be staying here again if I come back to Kyoto!"
