We were so disappointed to discover on the last day that there was another side to the breakfast menu which we hadn't turned over! "One of our go to places when up in Kendal for business. Clean & friendly and a good choice of things on the menu. Food is delicious! Only downfall we had was we booked a certain table for dinner one evening and one member of staff had moved us and was quite rude about it! Original table was empty the whole time we were in the restaurant! Wouldn’t have minded if she had been polite and explained why the move had been made!"

"The staff at the Boot and Shoe were lovely - they were friendly and helpful during our stay. The cooked breakfast was excellent. We had booked a table for dinner but unfortunately the table we’d been allocated wasn’t great so we dined elsewhere. The staff were really apologetic and gave us a complimentary round of drinks to make up for this. The room itself was fine. The bed was ok and the room was clean. "Had such a lovely stay in The Horse & Farrier Inn. Rooms were small but clean and had all the facilites needed. Food at both dinner and breakfast was delicious. Location is great, only a short drive into Keswick, with beautiful views of the mountains. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely return. "
