"The house is better than the photos portray. It is quiet, feels almost rural, and is within an easy walk to the town square. "A very helpful and friendly host. The accommodation is in need of uprading. The external furniture was of poor quality plastic or old wood without any pads. There were no parasols. The waste disposal arrangements are inadequate. Air conditioning should be installed upstairs as a minimum. The steps up to the town are overgrown and totally unlit. This is not Lucio's fault but he should accurately describe the situation. The property has great potential. Lucio is a superb host"

"We loved staying at this cottage, right near the beach. Salvo couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating! We initially were a little tentative because we didn't see other reviews on the property, but we were so glad that we ultimately booked this because it worked perfectly for our family of 4. Maria di Modica is a beautiful spot, the beach is gorgeous, and restaurants and the town is charming. We would definitely stay here again!"

"We rented the home from July 8-July 12, 2024- 2 families (4 adults & 3 teenagers). We loved the house with all the conveniences we paid for. However, on July 11, there was a power outage from 2-3 am in the morning till the next day when it was restored at ~10pm (19-20 hours without power). Villa Silva is so well equipped and our welcome from the owners was so personal and their attention to detail was evident throughout. "The 5-star reviews are NOT too good to be true. From the immaculate accommodations to the well-equipped kitchen to the delightful farm tour, everyone in our 3-family group agree our host and the property made our stay a delight. The rural location was a welcome respite from the sometimes challenging driving conditions in the nearby towns, but it took a bit of planning to assure we picked up the goceries we needed when we decided to cook.
