"Wir haben in dem Haus acht Tage verbracht und hatten eine rund um tolle Zeit. Der Gastgeber ist aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und zu jederzeit erreichbar. Das Haus war geräumig gut ausgestattet, und der Pool war ein Highlight. Für die Sauberkeit würden wir mehr als fünf Sterne geben. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die nächste Stadt sind in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen, man braucht allerdings ein Auto. "The house is spacious and comfortable, situated in a quiet but convenient area. Avola is 5 minutes away, the motorway linking Messina, Catania, Siracusa and Gela is also a few minutes drive from the house.A car is essential. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. "We enjoyed our stay in the area. Lots of beautiful countryside and the sea in the distance. the house was great for two couples. You should be aware that a car is essential as there is nothing within walking distance. The coast is 10km down hairpin bends, hence the view! Avola and the surrounding area is lovely, much to see and many beautiful towns and villages. The need to get in the car everytime is a disadvantage, especially in the evenings."

"Chiara is an exceptional host, easy to contact and had lots of great tips on where to go. You do need a car to visit all the wonderful towns and beaches nearby. I wish we had stayed longer as we couldn’t fit everything into one week. We particularly liked Noto, Ragusa and Marina Di Ragusa for the beach. The nearest town Sciciliis a fantastic place to eat in the evening as it is only a 12 minute drive and has so many good restaurants. The pool is really a plunge pool but good enough for cooling...

"Nous avons passé 17 jours chez Michele et Angela qui sont vraiment très accueillants et facilitent toutes les démarches et tracas. Michele vous fera découvrir son huile d'olive, les figues de Barbarie toutes préparées etc. Le logement est bien situé et permet de visiter la région facilement, bien entretenu avec évidemment la piscine qui est appréciable pour se rafraîchir. "Le Maria is a very nice house with a wonderful pool and garden area. A happy herd of cows lives on the other side of the garden wall and the clanging of their bells gives a tranquil countryside feel. The owners Graziella and Sara were extremely helpful and responsive. We did not have the problems with electricity mentioned in other reviews. The kitchens (there are two) are generally well equipped but some more pots, pans, kitchen knives and chopping boards would be good to have."
