"Love the hotel. Great breakfast. The hotel is so pretty inside and outside. So many bars nearby. Easy to walk to many city sights. Tram 28 runs by the end of the road. Superb!"

"The area was clean. We got there late so we had to check ourselves in but it was easy to do because they send you the codes soon before check in. The overall stay was comfy. The streets around noisy at night because of all the partying so you hear that from inside but you are so well located it’s worth it. "

"Plus side, its in a great location for bars, restaurants and exploring. Thoughtful touches (fridge, heater)..Downside is we experienced issues with power failure, street noise and interior fittings. The suite only has one window which is the front door and all who pass can see in as it is on street level. "

"Stay was average, the hotel building, entrance, hallway and reception were rundown, but the room was magnificent with beautiful panoramic views of Lisbon. There was a curious rotten egg smell after usage of the water appliances which wasn’t good, plus when they cleaned our rooms, did not take trash and used items like cups and mugs. "

"Casa do Bairro is the perfect, cozy retreat for anyone visiting Lisbon. It’s placed in a perfect area, walking distance from the city core and transit, but far enough from all the night time noise. It’s unique look and aesthetic make it feel like a home away from home. The staff are the best. Very welcoming, communicative, informative and kind. Coming back to a clean room was always a great feeling. The breakfast was great with everything you need. The food is fresh from their own farms...

"A hidden gem. Beautiful breakfast spread, really cute bar. The staff were so helpful and lovely. So convenient to everything location wise. I’d stay here again and again. "

"Such a charming and lovely spot, steeped in history and in the heart of the Old Town. From the moment we arrived, the staff were lowkey yet welcoming. As we had to leave quite early, before the buffet breakfast, they even arranged to deliver an early morning tray of breakfast basics to our room. The room was spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated and had a well-appointed bathroom with quality soap and shampoo in wall dispensers. And the small table for two overlooking the small balcony...

"Excellent location and a great deal for the traveller on a budget. The staff is friendly, and i had a nice clean room with restroom. But this is not a hotel, so it's not for everybody. "

"I have nothing but praise for the LR Guest House in Lisbon. Much preferred over a hotel! It is so much cozier, friendlier and has so many thoughtful touches. As a solo traveller, I was very well cared for from the moment I arrived. The environs were quite noisy after about 8 pm, but the earplugs provided worked like a charm! I highly recommend this place!"

"Property had 30 stone step , I walk with a cane and getting 3 bags up was very difficult. Thank god for good cab driver , no air . Would have been nice to know before we booked"

"I stayed at number 20, apartment 24. The property is very clean and well furnished, a room with a very good double bed and a kitchen with a living room with a sofa that should be changed. The big problem is that vis a vis there are 2 bars that play very loud music in the evening until 4 in the morning, you can hear it in the bedroom even though it is on the opposite side of the street. I do not recommend this property for those who have difficulty falling asleep or are light sleepers :)"

"The location and size of this place is outstanding. The unit was huge and the bathroom was the biggest we have seen in Portugal. Everything was walkable and the area was quite safe and easy to navigate. That said, communication with the host was lacking. Once we figured things out we were good to go though. Side note, you are right on top of the tram, so you can hear it running all day / evening. It really didn’t bother us and we actually thought it was funny. I’m not sure we would stay here...
