"Stayed here in October, opened the door to a smell of cold & damp that never really went away. Heating kept resetting to cold & was out of our control. Daughter had to spray perfume to mask the smell in her room. Damp damage visible throughout. Hosts refused to stop the heating resetting so every morning & every time we came back after being out, it was cold & damp & smelly again. Nice enough cottage otherwise I suppose."

"We had my son’s wedding in the area and chose the property to accommodate seven of us - three generations of family - Chartwell Mews was ideal for us as it was near to the wedding and there was enough space for all of us. The property was very well equipped, was spacious, and had everything we needed. It was clean, warm and cosy. "Overall we enjoyed the cottage but for me at age 54 and disabled and also a family friend who is in his 80's and my parents who are nearing 90 it would have helpful to have more handrails around the bathroom. Also a night light for the landing would be great as the first night of our stay I fell down the stairs at 3 in the morning and gashed my leg open."
