"The Lodge at Uxmal is a special place just outside the entrance to the archeological site so ideal for staying at to see the sound and light show at night. The room was comfortable and clean with nice bedding and the place is set amongst trees so there are abundant birds and nature all around. Really lovely. It also has a very nice restaurant so is a great place to base exploring the Ruta Puuc from."

It’s a beautiful boutique hotel at ground level so expect some traffic noise, if you are a light sleeper maybe you better look for a different option, for us it was not an issue and we enjoyed every minute we spent there. "Honestly this place is incredible. Beautiful setting, beautiful rooms and buildings. The hotel has been open for 8 years, so there is a little bit of wear, but everything maintained very well. The rooms are big and very nice. The spa is lovely. And particular shout out to Monse who ran the yoga and fitness classes in the morning. Wonderful way to start the day, all orchestrated perfectly. "It’s a lovely property. Our room was large with attractive furnishings, and it had a huge outdoor area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had three delicious meals served in very lovely spaces. The pools looked great but it wasn’t hot enough to swim. It is a very quiet, restful environment."
