"Black Ivy is a lovely hotel in the center of Edinburgh right next to the Meadows. Its interior and exterior design is wonderful and artsy, with photography in the hallways and rooms. It's really a gem. Our room had a gorgeous park view out to the Meadows and onto the lovely skyline of Edinburgh. The room was clean and modern and had all the amenities (shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, etc) and it is ecofriendly. The staff is excellent and super helpful. We had a great stay. "The drive up to the hotel was stunning , We loved the old style of the hotel absolutely beautiful. Our room 169 was very spacious and welcoming. Food was top notch what we had although more choice chicken,pasta ect.Breakfast was brilliant plenty to choose from. Staff very welcoming and always on hand to help.Looking forward to returning . "

"Amazing location, wonderful view! The balcony was absolutely incredible. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, you will have a great time here! Make sure you don’t mistake the hotel with “Apex” or “Grassroots” down the street. This hotel has a large sign with the full name “Apex Grassroots”. "
