The room was very clean and the staff were beyond friendly. I knew the room would be small, but not this small. The restroom was TINY and my feet were in the shower when I sat on the toilet. There was hardly any walking space and it was quite uncomfortable for 2 ppl with luggage. If you are planning to be solo in the room and not have too much luggage, then this is perfect. It feels like a dorm.

Don’t mind the negative comments. It’s clean, safe and beds are comfortable. Location is great. Yes it’s small but if you’re looking for a place to sleep 2-3 nights that’s ok.

These rooms are very small & compact, perfect for a one night stay. Tea & coffee available at reception for £1 but small cardboard cups don't keep it warm, best buy one outside the hotel. Staff there 24hrs, so safe & secure.

Very deceiving online. We had to walk up flights of stairs with two bags each to check in. Let alone our room. The bathroom is extremely hazardous

We were so happy with our stay. The room, though smaller than we're used to, was perfect (we travel light). We had the best view of Edinburgh castle. The bed and pillows were so comfy. The bathroom took some getting used to but worked well for us in the end. An absolute stellar stay in the heart of everything.

As long you understand how small the room will be, this place is great. The staff are very kind and the area is unbeatable in terms of how walkable the whole area is. Edinburgh castle is a stunning view to wake up to. The only thing I would call out that I didn’t get a great sense of in the description/ reviews is the noise level. We stayed on the second floor and the noise from the street made it tough to sleep past about 6:30-7 AM. But really great if you’re like me and looking to travel on a budget but stay in the best location

It was not a nice experience, bed was extremely creaky, room was cramped, walls so thin I could hear everything going on around me, including water running when someone next door went to shower, kept me up most of the night, stairs were in poor condition. Didn’t realise how much difference not having a window makes to overall comfort, I would not stay again!

Great if all you need is a room with a bed and a bathroom. Green light wouldn’t turn off overnight so the room was never dark. Staff said the light cannot be switched off and is the same in every room. Bring an eye mask.

Great castle view. Everything else was aweful! Sit on toilet while showering, no chairs, no amenities, 8x12 room. We didnt stay our second night!!! Don't stay here.
