"Fantastic overnight stay in the Bollinger room - with the most comfortable bed imaginable. We ate in the pub in the evening and got talking to the owner about Huddersfield pigeons and their (lack of) merits. Food brilliant - we chose a chicken and a lamb dish. Beautiful. Mediterranean cheesecake - pesto jus with olives and roasted tomatoesit it was not. Turns out it was Dark Fruit Berries !!! Super flavour. And sticky toffee pudding to die for ! Lovely breakfast in the morning. Plenty...

We arrived late, around 6.20pm and were pleased that the check in and access to both the park and the property were nice and easy. Very pleased with the location of the lodge, overlooking the lake, the cleanliness and the communication with the owner prior. Will return."

"Don’t get me wrong, Dewars is a lovely property and certainly stands out from the crowd, however, it’s let down by the lack of customer service professionalism. We checked in, nobody behind the reception, when somebody did check us in they didn’t tell us anything (literally anything such as what time breakfast was served, where to go for breakfast, wi-fi, checkout times - basic stuff).
