"We went to York for a birthday weekend. The location is perfect. A 10 min walk from the train station and very central. We paid for the upgrade to get river views and was worth the extra money. The bed was super comfortable and the staff excellent. Breakfast was good "

"Upon arrival no staff was to be seen, but was polite and showed us to our rooms. A few hazards on entry grates raised up on tile flooring at entry ( trip hazard) lift doesnt work. We was there two nights no fresh towels or bedding. Had to buy our own toilet roll. Cleaness needs a good clean over, walls had stains, carpets need a good clean. Overall was warm, comfy. Its a hotel that would have alot of potential or would benefit a good make over. Pictures arent a true image of the hotel people are...
