"When i book somewhere, like everybody else i read the comments and probably like everyone you look at the negatives first. The more i read them the more i wanted to stay here. So if you are looking for a 5 star hotel with all ammenties under 3 years old please dont come here. This wonderful 400 year old pub is full of quirky, the floors creek and are not all spirt level flat, the plumbing babbles along at its own pace but hot water comes and the shower got me clean. No bath in our room (we did have access to one) so we bathed our baby in the longest sink you will find. I bumped my head on a few low ceiling, well I'm 6 foot and the biulders were not. The bed was comfortable and clean the veiw was so peaceful and the food was fab. The breakfast kept me full till evening. Most importantly the staff went way beyond your posh hotels they were friendly and couldn't have made our stay more.of a delight. So come here if you love the rich history of England but avoid it if you want coperate blandness. Thank you Babs and your team "
