"DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! It looks nothing like the pictures. Both showers only had burning hot water. There are paper thin walls with neighbors screaming constantly. We had to step over a girl sleeping on the sidewalk to get out of the property one night. The entire place smells like mold and is filthy. There were dirty dishes, no soap or trash bags, and only 2 towels when we checked in. We contacted the property. They apologized for “the mistake” but never came by to fix anything. I have...

"The price was great, good location if not the prettiest of views. Right next to the high street and lots of shops, restaurants and local transport. Next door to a large public car park which can be paid with the ring go app. Not the cheapest parking but we knew before booking and were away from the flat for the days anyway. "The apartment was exactly what we wanted! It was comfortable and clean! The host was wonderful and had no issue with answering any questions we had! The apartment is so close to the high street - a perfect spot for nights out or just a quick visit to the center. The only thing we found that there was not any oven trays for cooking but there was an oven. Not a dealbreaker at all and we just used foil that was provided. Just a point for the future! "There was no checkin process, info, guidance etc. Pretty much have to figure everything out yourself, including where the front door is. Gotta download a janky app to unlock the doors and then you have to specifically ask for the wifi details before they’re provided. The host is available until 3pm, which strangely is also when earliest check in is. Average response time was somewhere between 2-3 hours. "This was our first visit to Southend and it was for my wife's birthday. It was a beautiful apartment, sparkly clean and tastefully decorated. The view from the apartment was spectacular. We were very happy there. I had trouble shutting the door when we left as there is no handle so I used a corkscrew from the apartment to shut the door which I left on the the shelf outside."
