Where do I begin.
Check-in for a pre-paid, pre-booked Expedia reference took 45 minutes! Staff couldn't find my booking. One member was rude to me and should seek an alternative position, as they clearly cannot work at a reception desk. They used my middle name instead of my surname which was clearly stated on print-outs I had arranged. The same employee checked me into a room, which already had a guest staying in it! Room 2 was small and the bathroom smelt. Complained and received a 3rd room! Room was still small but did not smell as bad. Bathrooms small, shower was very tiny could not wash my back without hitting a door. Leaking fittings. Toilet roll holders broken. Oh and you are only given complementary water just the once (at a 5 star hotel!). Oh and you have to clean your own coffee mugs, without any liquid detergent.
Housekeeping staff only clean when they are not busy, (requested a clean of my room, having been told they will do it the next day as they were soo busy). Pillows are too high, requested new shallow ones after 5 call reminders, only to be presented with the same pillows (1 hour after requesting them). I was told that I would get used to the pillows after a day or so! Definitely not 5 star, definitely do not recommend to anyone human! On the plus side, the bellboys and luggage guys were actually quite sympathetic. Lastly, Poor wifi. Really poor only available in the room corner by the doors!
