"The Godley Hotel is perfectly located in Tekapo!! NOTE: There is no elevator, so be prepared to lug suitcases upstairs!! The Jack Rabbit restaurant that is attached is perfect for breakfast. We went to T.L.V. for dinner, which was a nice upscale restaurant in the area and the dishes were excellent. Definitely plan on taking the time to walk around the lake to see the church and the cute shops. "

"I loved my stay at Haka house Mt cook! I stayed in an 8 bed dorm room and found it to be very comfortable. The lockers were big and beds felt really private. Clean shower rooms and toilets. Kitchen was well equipped. The views right outside are absolutely stunning!"

"Excellent service, especially from Sunita (I hope I recalled her name correctly—the Indian lady at the front desk). She organized transport to get us to our bus stop in heavy snowfall. Big thanks also to the lady (of Zimbabwean origin) who gave us a ride."

"The location of the hostel is unbeatable, although the cleanliness is abit dubious. Found some strands of hair in the bed so I wondered if the sheets were changed. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay, with a huge kitchen and lounge that is really appreciated. There’s also a supermarket nearby that adds to the convenience."
