"Beautiful, comfortable hotel with a Scandi-style interior! Only ding I’d say was that the bed couldn’t support my 250 lb husband’s weight without making a lot of noise (creaking, etc.)…worried it’d break haha. It did not, thankfully! Great customer service from staff! Would stay here again if in the area"

"The hotel was cleanish, idk…there was just something about it that seemed to make it look less than. Maybe lighting or the main carpets. The very front entrance had, without a doubt, the most streaked windows ever. The windows five feet later were spotless. Staff and Bistro were great! Probably a little pricey for what I needed; however, I wanted to have close proximity to food and walking distance to activities. I do wish the room had information on all the great locations located around Lake Placid. I’m not sure I was in a great spot for walking. My planned activities all required driving. "

"Quaint New England feel that you will not get with modern chain hotels. Plenty of amenities and very accommodating and friendly staff. They will catch the next elevator or walk the stairs even if you let them know its ok to share the elevator. Only difficult part was walking the hill to our room after having one too many. Very walkable to all the restaurants and pubs. "
