"I really enjoyed my short stay at the hotel, the atmosphere was friendly, the staff were helpful, the food was excellent,but perhaps for me, more choice of cereal at breakfast as I don't do a cooked breakfast."

"Beautiful scenic location. Hotel condition and all furnishing as new. Room extremely comfortable. Staff impeccable, not to be faulted. Food superb. Bar prices high. Lounge a bit bright…. Need table lamps rather than ceiling lights to give better ambience. Overall excellent."

"Good sized room, massive comfortable bed, excellent views toward the lake, clean, decent bathroom (shower no bath but a good shower). Sat in the bay window reading our books after a long walk with window open, just very relaxing. Parking was £6, seemed to be plenty of spaces. Derwent water is an easy stroll post dinner if you want to walk it off. Breakfast was full service as table, plenty of space and room, staff were lovely, food was good. Can’t think of a single downside really and I’d happily stay there again. "
