I received a call 24 hours before our arrival (on New Years Eve),telling me the booking cancelled due to 'gas issues' in the apartment.
I was told they would arrange for Expedia to search for alternative accomodation.
I was ,however,scepital about this and proceeded to try and find accomodation myself,without success at such short notice.
I then received another call after approx 1 hour,telling me now sorted but may be put in one of the hotel rooms rather than the apartment. .
On arrival,the receptionist was very apologetic but did not really give us a full explanation.
However, as we were given a standard apartment rather than a superior one that I had paid for, we were given complimentary breakfast on each of the 2 mornings., with a promise to look at further recompense .(none as yet)
The actual apartment was a little dated but spacious and sufficient for our needs.
Ample parking spaces available.Lovely friendly staff in the dining room.
A very good position in Portinscale only 15mins off road walk into Keswick town centre.
