There are no staff on the premises and you have to check in at a store which is a few minutes drive away. They prefer to know in advance exactly what time you expect to arrive for check in. Location only a mile from the park entrance was great."

"The staff was so friendly. There were lots of animals: peacocks, cats, frogs, geese. We loved it! We booked it to be closer to Volcanoes National Park, without realizing there was no road that cuts across. We had to go amidst to Hilo in order to go back down to the Volcanoes, so it wasn't the most convenient, but we loved the vibe!"

We also were able to spend a Wednesday night at Uncle Roberts bar and market enjoying the music and atmosphere that area is known for. The trip to the Volcanoes National Park is an easy hour drive and well worth the trip. This is a great location if you're looking for some relaxation and discovering Island life independent of commercial excursions and tours."
