"Have stayed several times in the smaller ground floor courtyard units, which are great but this time upgraded ourselves to a Junior Suite in the main building that was well worth doing. It not only provided more spacious accommodation but we really enjoyed using the private deck with sea views. New owners John & Deb very friendly and welcoming, so we hope to return in the near future. "

"Lovely place with easy access to the beach. Extremely quiet and dark, allowing for great stargazing. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Friendly host who quickly explained everything and was available for questions via text. Would definitely return the next time we’re near Kaikoura. "

"We stayed in the Gypsy truck, I liked the novelty of it. It was cute and quirky. The host was super helpful, and talked us through the features on arrival. Surprisingly, the shower was excellent. Doesn't appear that way on first impression, however perfect temperature, and lots of pressure. One suggestion would be a step or the like, if you are short, to get up into the loft bed. We even saw baby ducks that were extremely friendly and came right up to us"

"This was a great place to stay for one night on our drive up to Nelson. The only thing that let it down for us is that the unit we had was an upstairs one fronting the road and was very noisy - especially with trucks traveling up and down the road all through the night (and some inconsiderate drivers using their engine brakes)."
