South Bays Cottage is situated less than 100 metres from the boat ramp and also the main Marina. This 2 bedroom cottage has been totally renovated inside with modern appliances. Unlimited Fibre Broadband is included. The main bedroom has a queen bed and sliding doors to outdoors. The other bedroom has a queen bed with a trundler bed that can pull out to use if required. Ideal for kids with a large area to run around. Fishermen will be happy with off street parking for a boat and car. This cottage backs onto reserve land.

This property was very handy to South Bay boat ramp, and easy off-street parking for the boat. We enjoyed our stay, the property had all the amenities we needed and was warm and comfortable.

Lovely little property - perfect size for a family of 4. Super warm and cozy. Given it relies on previous occupants to clean it wasn’t super clean on arrival (it was clear it needed a good vacuum), but all cleaning products are provided so not difficult to fix :)

Loved our stay here! My two young kids and I had enough space to run around outside and all the comforts inside for when the weather shifted and we headed indoors. Close to all of the best parts of Kaikoura and just a short walk to the peninsula track. Loved our stay!

A comfortable budget stay.
It suited us. Thanks. The bedroom curtain needs attention. It was very warm on arrival due to all windows closed in hot weather. We would like to have been told where to take our rubbish.

Overall the stay was great. Accomodation had everything we wanted. But it was very clear that the previous people had not given a toss about cleaing before leaving. Both beds were clearly used, blankets were thrown on. The bathroom was not cleaned, still had belongings in it. Floors had not be vacuumed or washed. Very dissapointing. We did leave in a much better state than what we found.

Change of Scenery
Our week-long stay in Kaikoura was an escape from Wellington and the chance to catch up with our adult daughter. As the weather was atrocious ŵe were very happy with the comfortable sofa and the flatscreen TV with Netflix. We couldn’t use the dining room table which was on the deck outside because of the temperatures but in summer it must be bliss. Overall we really enjoyed the cosy little bach. Communication with the hosts was outstanding; when we had problems with the hot water the plumber arrived in a flash and fixed it. Thank you for a fuss free stay! P.S. There is a recycling centre on top of the peninsula for rubbish and recycling.
