"This property was great to accommodate my family and I at the last minute when my other accommodation fell through. There’s plenty to eat nearby too. Front desk staff was very friendly and even called us to our room to make sure everything was to our liking. "

Small, but it’s really nice to have street side access, not to mention there is a 24 hr gas station and a great restaurant you can walk to in about 1 minute. it’s quiet and everything inside was in good repair. Owner has left courtesy items like coffee pods, phone charger, plates, silverware. I liked it a lot better than my stay in a hotel suite in Amarillo last time I came. When I come back to see my daughter again, I’ll be checking if it’s available. The price was great, and the owner even warned me of it being windy ahead of my check in so I could make sure and drive carefully on my way there. Top marks in my book! "

"El Capitan was a perfect place to stay. Becky has amazing communication and responds quickly. We enjoyed are stay and the uniqueness of the train car. Easy to get to Canyon and easy to get to Palo Duro Canyon. The train car was very comfortable for 2 adults and 1 child. This stay will not disappoint. Lucy the Great Pyrenees was definitely and added bonus. "
