The Cozy Buffalo near Palo Duro Canyon & WTAMU

The Cozy Buffalo is a spacious home with a farmhouse feel. It is in walking distance from the college campus, close to the downtown square, and a 10 minute drive to Palo Duro Canyon. Palo Duro Canyon offers hiking, zip lining, horseback riding, the play Texas, and a multitude of other activities.
The Cozy Buffalo is a home away from home for all of our guests. Including Wifi, Direct TV with 155 + channels, Netflix, Hulu, and many other streaming programs with your username and password.

Features of the home

This 2400 sq ft home has a lot of room for activities or a simple relaxing weekend. It has 2 large living rooms, a nice dining room, a reading nook, and 3 spacious bedrooms. We have added many touches that make the Cozy Buffalo feel like home.

Cozy at the Cozy Buffalo
This is our second stay at the Cozy Buffalo. It is perfect for our small family and pets! Close to all of the activities we enjoy and great to have the big yard to unwind in at the end of each day!

We were in town for WT graduation, this place was bigger than we expected, we had plenty of room for friends and family over for dinner! Definitely will stay here again if we are ever in town again!

We were really happy with this house. It was impeccably clean, very homey and felt hospitable. The bed was comfortable, we loved the original tile in the bathrooms, and it had an overall feel of comfort and warmth.

Canyon Texas rental
We were so impressed with the rental. It was very clean, had everything we needed. It was only about 10 minutes from Palo Duro Canyon. I would recommend the rental to anyone!

Great location
The house is very well situated in Canyon, close to grocery stores, restaurants and an ice cream maker. It is also a short drive to Palo Duro State Park which was the reason our trip. Check in was easy and we had pretty much all we needed to cook. Kelby is a very responsive and helpful host (thank you!). We would definitely come back for a future trip!

The house was decorated cute. It had all the comforts of home. It was spacious and had a big back yard. Owner communicated very well. 15 min to Palo Duro Canyon. Will stay here again if we go back to the canyon.

This house is so huge, it’s hard to explain. Two large comfy living areas accommodate gatherings, while the three bedrooms were more than adequate to house our party of six ladies.

Wonderful!
Our stay may have been a bit short & we may not have been at the house much but while we were there, it was nice! The only cons were the two beds in the very back, those were so uncomfortable but thankfully we didn’t have to use them. The house was very clean, quite neighborhood & nice neighbors! Super convenient to everything we were there to do!

Perfect location
We stopped over for several days to hike Palo Duro Canyon and we weren't disappointed. The house has more then enough space and a large back yard for my pup to run in. Communication with the owner was as easy as it gets he's very responsive to any questions. If you are looking for a place to stay in Canyon I don't think you will be disappointed if you choose this house.

Fun at the Buffalo!
This cozy house is large and accommodating for a large group of people. It is in a great location for hiking at Palo Duro Canyon. The host had a nice welcome basket with snacks and water. There was also many brochures and maps that were helpful. The backyard is very large, with great seating areas. The only drawback for our family Is the step down areas in the house that wouldn't work for my elderly mother.

Family Gathering
Great location in town. We had 2 sets of grandparents come in for our sons college graduation. The host provides starter Kcups and tea not mentioned so we were pleasantly surprised. We let the grandparents stay in the two bedrooms in the front of the house since there is a step down from the kitchen leading to the back bedroom since one of them cannot see well. House is large and a great place to gather. We would stay here again.

Spring Break 2023
On a lark, we decided to visit Palo Duro Canyon for spring break. With less than 2 weeks to plan, we were searching everywhere for lodging. We lucked out & found this gem! Perfect location- mins to restaurants, the Canyon, grocery store, gas, literally anything you need is within 5 mins - 15 mins of this cottage. It was clean, well laid out, easy to find & super easy to communicate with the owner! Really great experience! Thank you to the owners for sharing this space with us!!!
