EC can sleep 4 comfortably. There is a queen size bed as well as a queen size pull out couch. The kitchenette is equipped with a keurig coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, hot plate, microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom has several extras in case you forget something. The shower, which has exposed copper plumbing, is sure to impress. Outside there is a small patio with adirondack chairs that over looks the horse pasture and our beautiful Panhandle sunsets that stretch for miles and miles.

We had an amazing stay at El Capitan. It was an excellent location near by the state park and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The host was also great, bonus was co-host Lucy the Great Pyrenees saying hi to us every morning. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful experience.
My daughter and her new husband stayed here, and she said it was a wonderful experience. It was clean and decorated really cute. She said there were lots of little amenities that made them feel special. The host was very easy to communicate with as well.

Absolutely great accommodations! The container was so cute and worked great for the 4 days we visited Palo Duro Canyon. Very quiet place to relax and unwind. Becky was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay! We will definitely be back!

The renovated box car has wonderful charm, on both the inside and the outside. Out host was great and very responsive to any help we needed. We certainly enjoyed our stay.

Unique Experience
Becky is a fantastic host and provides so many personal touches. The boxcar was a unique experience and we loved the skylights over the bed, especially as we were there for the Beaver Full Moon. It is close to Palo Duro Canyon and it is quiet and peaceful at night. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

This is a great place to stay for some quiet and some really big skies, and it is very close to Palo Duro Canyon State Park and the cute town of Canyon, TX. The rail car is absolutely adorable and extremely comfortable and clean. I wish I had been able to stay longer and will definitely come back. Becky is a great host - she offered so many nice details in her hospitality which made me feel at home, and I also felt like I had privacy. I stayed here in the winter and would like to return in the warmer months and enjoy the outdoor seating and grill.
