"The hotel was hard to find in the dark as there were no or poor lights on the driveway. However, the staff were very friendly and professional and the food (breakfast) was of excellent quality (and quantity). It's a shame that there is no lift in the building, which makes less accessible for people with a disability. However, I'd definitely recommend the hotel."

"Was mixed stay at the Mandolay. Check in was a bit slow and felt like we weren't that important. Our room was ok location felt a bit odd but was a decent size if a little dated but good job by Isha in housekeeping made up for its dated feel. Our bathroom was tiny and not well laid out for the size. The bar on first night was well run by Louis and was a lovely experience. Second night was a little stilted, the staff on front of house could have done with more senior staff support I think. Check...

"I really like this place , I stayed here a few years ago and the standard has remained high . It’s comfortable ,the staff are friendly and helpful and it’s really good value for money .Breakfast is excellent as is the food generally - had the best steak I’ve had in a long while for dinner . "

"Really lovely place to stay, not what I was expecting at first but I have zero complaints about it!! The staff were fantastic, the rooms were beautiful and the shower controls were mindblowing; the only downside is the pillows/mattress aren’t too comfortable, but everything else about the property is fantastic.
