"I’ve always wanted to stay in an airstream caravan on top of the roof of the Grand Daddy Hotel and then my dream finally came true after completing an 8 week crossing from Japan to Cape Town on an overnight expedition vessel. We loved our stay and enjoyed our night in the Goldrush immensely. My boyfriend says you’ve gotta love a hotel room with an en-suite bar, referring to the roof top bar which will keep you well watered and pickled ! The staff are all extremely friendly and I quite like the vintage feel of the place."
