"We absolutely loved our stay at Cottage Yushin and would recommend that anyone staying at/around Lake Kawaguchi stay here as this side of the lake was very quiet and not nearly as crowded as the other side near Kawaguchi Station (the side where Mt Fuji is). "We had a very brief stay and it was clean, comfortable and as described on the website. Very happy. About 8-10 min walk from train station, beautiful walk over the footbridge. Only issue is lack of restaurants after 19:00 and we never received our code to check in to the room-luckily staff was onsite to quickly assist!"

"The fully contained apartment was a pleasure to stay in. It was private, comfortable and uniquely Japanese.for a split level space. There were plenty of futon beds and the kitchen had all that we needed. The attic bedroom was comfortable but does not have standing room. Thank you for a unique Japanese stay."

"I stayed in this very nice apartment. Everything is very new and very nice. It is small, but it was fine for me by myself. Be aware there is no parking on the premises and I ended up parking my car twenty minutes away by foot (it was hard to find any paid parking). There are also no shops close by (convenience store, super market, restaurants, etc.), so you will need to walk for everything. Owner was very helpful when I had questions and when I needed to extend my stay by a night."

"One can’t go wrong as the hotel is conveniently located & to top it all their free to & fro shuttle service from Gora station & the hotel is just ideal for exploring the sites in the vicinity. Highly recommend as the staff is very polite, kind & helpful. "

Great, easy, comfortable stay

"I had accidentally booked the reservation under only myself, when in actuality, I was staying with my two kids and husband as well. The Receptionist handled it very well (despite the language barrier) and she made sure we had everything we needed. The location is great, very walkable and the view is beautiful. Beds were really comfortable. Nothing bad to say! "

"Wonderful location and service. Beautiful grounds. Excellent range at breakfast though many large groups. Excellent wine bar that we paid for as part of the booking. Self help to over 30 types of Japanese wine and premium snacks. Plus wonderful onsen in the room. Would stay again"
