"The Sunset Motel was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The owner and the motel have a lot of heart. My friends and I stayed in a deluxe queen room which had plenty of space for the four of us. There was a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig style coffee machine. The ice machine was just across the parking lot. Response was quick when we needed extra towels and a new battery in the smoke detector. Andy, the owner, pointed out the common area that included picnic tables, a hammock, a fire pit and a grill. Some recent work had taken place so some areas were staked off to give the grass a chance to mature but it was nice, peaceful and still usable. Downtown Brevard is a short walk from the motel and full of shops and dining. A 30-40 minute drive and you can be in Asheville or Hendersonville or up on the Blue Ridge Parkway."
