Hotel Slyva was perfect in every way. Kind, helpful and professional staff; ideal location in a gorgeous town with incredible restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, bookstores, bars; walkable to everything, even churches! Recently remodeled, so the room was immaculate. Great large TV, unique darker wall color. I like the key code entry: do t have to carry a card key. Water takes a good 10 minutes to warm up and get hot, so prepare for that. Very safe property, as the police station is across the street

It is on a busy street so there was street noise but it was convenient and right across the street from the county courthouse which was beautifully decorated for Christmas!

Nice Hotel
Really nice hotel that seems to have been recently renovated. We love the NC mountain towns and this was our first time spending a few days in Sylva. It’s right downtown so you can easily walk to the stores. Only issue we had was the downstairs neighbor was a bit sketchy. Cars and people showing up at all times of the day and night, going in and out of the room. Hotel staff addressed it quickly and professionally which we appreciated.

My only complaint was the shower water pressure which I feel is pretty typical for hotels. The room was gorgeous, beds and pillows were super comfy. They had a lock box for me to pick up my key since after hours and it didn’t work, I contacted the after hours and within 10 minutes I was in my room. I will definitely be staying again if I’m in need of a room in the area.
