"The map is not accurate and had to drive around for half an hour to locate it, reception didn't recognize Expedia and thought it was the company I work for, asked me to go upstairs to meet the manager in his room to accept me as a guest, when I refused they called him on the phone and he was kind enough to accept me as a guest after asking me three times if I had paid in advance or not. The grumbled about websites not paying their money and took me to a room that is dirty, had the floor mat...

"The room was very dirty, the bathroom flush stopped working and never got fully fixed. There was one tower in the bathroom. The carpets on the floor was very dusty. The picture of the room was highly misleading. The elevator is extremely old and scary. The reception of the hotel is heavily furnished to mislead customers completely. Rooms don't have good internet although it is mentioned in the package. Only after several requests to provide more toilet papers, to fix the flush, to add towels...

"We were there for the view, and oh what a view from our window, pyramids and the Sphinx! At checkin we were welcomed as family and treated as such with every question we had. The included breakfast buffet is large and has varied options. The property is vintage and could use some spiffy-ing and the area is not as appealing as some but we knew that when booking, it’s part of the experience. "I have stayed at this hotel twice. Kamal seems to be the local manager. At this time, I am providing information about him only, and not the property. Kamal is a very nice man. His English is very good. He greeted me warmly on both visits. On the latter visit, I arranged for two tours--of the step pyramids, Memphis and the Giza pyramids and of the three major museums. A good guide was provided for the first tour. I liked the driver who picked me up at the airport, so Kamal arranged for that driver for me throughout. Kamal is very detail oriented and seems honest to deal with. He seems to be well-liked by the hotel workers. I respect and like Kamal."

From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was immediately impressed by the elegant and comfortable atmosphere of the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the view over Cairo was a lovely bonus. Housekeeping did a fantastic job each day, and I appreciated the attention to detail. The hotel’s amenities were outstanding. The pool area was a relaxing oasis in the middle of the bustling city, and the on-site restaurants served delicious food with plenty of options to choose from.
