"It’s not the sparkling gem it should be. I stayed one night in a junior suite overlooking....well, Termini station. The room was large and clearly at one point relatively flash (if it was the 90’s), but tired. Random switches that did nothing, worst stocked mini bar in history (one miniature Jonny Walker red label and a bottle of tonic amongst a couple of cokes and a bottle of Evian!!??). The whole place needs updating,,,, but on the flip side, pretty good rates for such a large room, great bed...

"Absolutely wonderful hotel! The staff was friendly and the room exactly as the photos show. I was in a single room and it certainly had plenty of room and a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast has a very good variety and staff brought hot beverages very quickly. There is a grocery store and department store right across the street from the hotel which was wonderful. Lovely restaurants near by as well."

"There is a fee for late check-in which then really negates the traveling on a budget. The hotel is also a bit of a walk from Roma Termini station so if you have heavy luggage or two suitcases that could be a challenge trying to get there on time before late check in fee applies. Also it helps to pay room charges online to limit amount of money guests have to carry with them. Room was clean. "

"We’ve stayed for 6 days at the Hotel Saint John. Safe area & mostly quiet. Walking distance to the Colosseum! On your way, you pass by a supermarket & a few small stores. Many restaurants & shops towards Roma Termini Station in another direction. My window faced the back towards a school so it was quiet at night. Slept with the window opened due to the air conditioning being turned off during February- which was fine because the temperature dropped overnight from 50’s Fahrenheit to 40’s ...
