"It’s not the sparkling gem it should be. I stayed one night in a junior suite overlooking....well, Termini station. The room was large and clearly at one point relatively flash (if it was the 90’s), but tired. Random switches that did nothing, worst stocked mini bar in history (one miniature Jonny Walker red label and a bottle of tonic amongst a couple of cokes and a bottle of Evian!!??). The whole place needs updating,,,, but on the flip side, pretty good rates for such a large room, great bed...

"No one was on site when we arrived. Had to call and waited for almost an hour for some to come and let use in. No breakfast was provided. No staff on site. Must of the stuff in the room was broken. Such as the wardrobe. It was falling apart. Almost fell apart on me. But I must say it had a wicked shower. Best I have seen in a long time. "

"Not a traditional hotel but extremely pleasant! Just a door along a busy street near the Termini train station, but once upstairs and buzzed in, the staff spoke far better English than my rudimentary Italian deserved. The rooms and bathrooms were large and clean. We were able to have two rooms (#s 5 and 6) which closed off from the main hallway. And most importantly, they let us check in at 10am! We were only going to drop off bags, but instead got to have a 2 hour nap before heading out to...

"This hotel is convenient to the airport bus (9 euros per person oneway), Rome Termini rail station and local nus services (1.50 euro per person per trip). We always stay at the Contilia when we are in Rome amd have noticed a slight downward trend to their complimentary breakfast however all service snd staff are gresy."
