"The lodge we stayed in ( badger lodge) was amazing. It came with everything you need to make your stay comfortable for a family of 4. The lodge include a washing machine, hoover, huge freezer and a hair dryer. The hot tub is definitely the highlight of the stay. A guy comes out and explains all the dials and is cleaned on a daily basis. The area overall is good, there is a play area for young children but not much for teenagers to do apart from a quarry trail. The only let down for this place...

"Our lodge was brilliant, lots of space inside, robes and plenty of towels for the hot tub. Staff were so friendly and helpful and everything was delivered and looked after perfectly. Lodge was really well equipped with everything we needed. Location wise being only 4 miles from Alton Towers was perfect for us and felt like a million miles away after a full day in a busy theme park. Would highly recommend staying in these lodges."

"We stayed in Lodge 11. Very happy with the size of the lodge, very spacious & most importantly, it was clean & tidy. Unfortunately it's a little tired in places, for example, a cracked Hob & chipped coffee table... For this reason, I can only give it 4*. The Hot Tub was immaculate, so hats off to whoever looks after the tubs.A couple of criticisms... "The property was exactly as advertised, spacious, modern, and full of light with views of the countryside. It was very peaceful. We used the hot tub on Friday and Saturday evening and we were pleased to know that it was emptied and cleaned before our arrival. There were small touches which we appreciated. On arrival there was a cake, prosecco, milk, jam, butter, 2 dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid and salt and pepper. The oven pans and grill tray were all lined with foil making them...

"Firstly, the properly hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. I have some quite disturbing pictures of the grime and mould that is everywhere in this property. Secondly, they did not have a cot for my son despite the fact I called and ordered one a week beforehand. Both my husband and I had to take it in turns to protect him on the bed whilst he slept so he didn’t roll off. Words cannot describe how dissapointed we are."

"This is a beautiful quiet cottage finished to a high standard with everything you need for a chilled relaxing holiday.Communication with Ray and Julie was great and the pool was an amazing addition to the cottage.The location is perfect for walking Dovedale 30 mins, Tissington trail 20 mins and the Old Dog Pub which was very welcoming 10 minutes walk.Cannot fault the whole package and would not hesitate to revisit in the future."
