I didn’t like the furniture that needs upgrading within 2-3 years, I didn’t like room service that needed a new menu and chef, I didn’t like the relative lack of training of staff at concierge and overall. I didn’t like being told all restaurants open until 1 am when only two were open. I didn’t like the smell of the cigar room reception. I didn’t like the Lebanese restaurant Zaitouni; it should be replaced immediately. "

"The City View Hotel was a safe and convenient place to stay while I was in Cairo. It is centrally located. The food, I thought was mediocre. There were a lot of packaged items for breakfast and the restaurant served meals that were adequate but the quality wasn’t that great. I think if the hotel wanted to improve it should revamp the entire kitchen in terms of what is available for breakfast and the quality of their food, in comparison to better restaurants and types of cooking. "Be aware that if your room is facing the Tahrir square side you will be listening to loud Arabic music until 1:00 AM. - courtesy of their Lebanese restaurant. For me it was annoying as I couldn't sleep the first night luckily they moved me the following night to the Nile river side. Everything else was fine. The Italian restaurant was good but not great. I would have given this hotel 5 stars. "
