"The hotel is in a prime Ramsgate location high up over the harbour; all front rooms have superb views. The welcome was warm and we were shown to our room (22) on the third (top) floor. There was no information about the public areas either verbally or in-room, so we explored & found four charming downstairs rooms. "The staffs were very nice and accomodating. Breakfast was surprisingly good with many menus to choose from (buffet style). The property is outdated (the smell reminded me of my grandma's house- definitely not a bad smell, but an "old" smell) except for the ground floor which seems to have been recently renovated. Walkable distance to the city center, though some may say it's slightly far away (10 minutes). For the price I paid, it was good value. "

"If you wish to visit Canterbury, the Lodge provides an incredibly convenient and quite comfortable place to stay. For those outside the main Lodge, the stairs may prove problematic for some, particularly those with extensive luggage or mobility issues. That notwithstanding, the access to the Cathedral grounds was lovely, and we would happily stay at the Lodge again."
