"Hotel was really nice and view was great. We did find the hotel a bit outdated but still super clean and well maintained. The staff were great and accommodating. One thing that could be better for all Tokyu hotels is the wifi, we found that the connection isn't that good and dropped often."

"Since we paid for this hotel the same that we paid for a nice new hotel in Central Tokyo, I was expecting at least the basic service. The staff didn't speak any English with the exception of a lady who was called on the phone to give us basic information, but she said she was taking the day off. Thing is, she seemed to also take off the day after, and the one after as well. We had to prepare our own beds,with zero guidance on how to set up a Japanese futon. "Great hotel in peaceful area. Easy to walk to from the rope/cable cars. I didn’t realize that the photo of the hotel with the pool that has sitting area in a circle is not a pool, it is just a water feature/fountain with a hot foot bath on the side. Also the spas here are gender separate and traditional onsen with no clothing allowed. They have spa service onsite but it fills up quickly. We got to enjoy the 2 massage chairs for free, which we absolutely loved. Our room had a private onsen bath...

"The best quality about this property is its proximity to the Yumoto station, and how easy it is to start the exploration of Hakone. The property also have spa rooms that can be booked, at a discount for hotel guests. It's just very grand-looking, and rooms are spacious. Front desk is very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was a buffet, great selection of Japanese and continental offerings. It was so good! Overall, I'd definitely recommend it to friends."
