"I recently spent 3 nights at the Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan and loved it. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The whole experience from the room to the food and onsen gave me a really good insight in to Japanese culture. Property is very central, close to old town and restaurants. I tried both the Japanese and American breakfasts and liked both. "NO TATTOOS. Is the first sign you see when checking in. Perhaps if you have a small discrete tattoo, they will still permit you to use their hot-baths on site. Ideal for couples, seniors, less so for families with children. The beds were quite hard. The in-room food service was very good, as was the breakfast buffet. Both indoor and outdoor onsen was very nice, with the outdoor one having a nice view of Gifu Castle. "

"Lovely hosts make our stay a wonderful and memorable experience! Even though location is ten minutes away from main town, host will drop you off and pick you up whenever you need.
