"We loved our stay at Ryokan Sansui. The view of the mountains around the hotel were amazing with tri-colored foliage. The staff were also very lovely and kind. The food was also delicious and more than I had expected. Communication wasn't too easy, but the message would get across. The best part was, of course, the onsen (hot spring) experience. "The guesthouse was absolutely gorgeous and in a stunning part of Japan. We rented a car in Matsumoto and used the guesthouse as a base for visiting Kamikochi. The hotel is bright and cheery. The rooms are a generous size. The futons comfortable. Perhaps the best thing of all was the private onsen. The dining options around are a little limited- very few are open at night. There are more soba lunch options but we were out walking. We went to both Abbey Road and Springbank which were fine. "
